Independent Appointment of Adjudicators
The Dispute Board Federation (DBF) provides an independent adjudicator nomination and appointment service for construction and infrastructure disputes.
Where parties cannot agree upon the appointment of an adjudicator, DBF acts as an impartial Adjudicator Nominating Body, selecting an appropriately qualified adjudicator in accordance with its Rules of Procedure.
Key Features
- No application fee payable to DBF
- Dispute value should exceed £100,000.
- Acknowledgement of complete applications within one working day
- Best endeavours to nominate an adjudicator within five days of receiving a complete application
- Conflict checking and confirmation of availability by the nominated adjudicator within two days
- Appointment based upon expertise, availability, independence and absence of conflicts of interest
- Confidential handling of all applications and supporting documents.
