Independent Appointments of Adjudicators and Arbitrators
The Dispute Board Federation (DBF) provides an independent and impartial Appointing Service of arbitrators (section I below) and adjudicators (section II below) for construction and infrastructure disputes.
Arbitrator Appointments
DBF assists with appointing arbitrators where the parties’ agreement provides for appointment by an independent appointing body. DBF has access to a strong network of highly experienced practitioners across construction, infrastructure, engineering, commercial and related disputes, placing it in a strong position to identify and appoint an appropriately qualified arbitrator.
Appointments are made with regard to the requirements of the particular dispute, including expertise, experience, availability, independence and conflicts of interest.

Adjudicator Appointments
Where parties cannot agree on an adjudicator within the required timeframe, DBF can appoint a suitably qualified adjudicator. DBF has prepared a tailored mechanism for appointing an adjudicator, including Rules of Procedure, an Appointment Application, and a set of Model Clauses.
